So I finally bit the bullet and learned the basics of scripting and mapping in Call of Duty - this short test is the result. Seriously, this engine's lighting is a digital cinematographer's dream come true. Now all I need to do is figure out the talking animations.

Since I'll only be using the tools for movies, it'll be a lot more simplified than trying to build fully working levels. And the voiceovers were essentially an after thought, but then again they've never been my strength anyway.

  • the promo looks gorgeous. All scripted within COD4 or was 3D modeling software required? Either way I feel very small in comparison to it

  • Thanks - no 3D modeling or anything, it was all done in COD 4.

  • Okay, but I'm assuming you can tell them what to do.

  • you cant make people but you can put soldiers and main characters etc into the maps. the only way your gonna be able to make people is with a 3d model maker like maya or 3ds max

  • Can you make people in the COD4 mod tools?

  • Where do you get the mod tools?
