I don't know about cheesy, but Ed's lyrics are are as enlightened as ever to my ears and my heart. In particular, the guys are really matching the music and lyrics well. Hits deep. Love this band.

That "angst" was what made Live peak with Secret Samadhi.

I will always love their first three albums dearly. There's definitely a lot of passion there. But it seems lately (the two most recent albums especially), the lyrics have cheesed-out big time, and the songs themselves sound more generic.
