Dani Alves Dani Alves, was acquired from Sevilla (2002-2008) on July 2nd , 2008 to Barcelona for a record fee around €40,000,000 , making him the most expensive defender in history.

He is arguably the best defender in the world (rightback) , at the moment. He isnt jsut great at defending but he's always running up the right flank constantly getting the ball to the middle and giving great assists and maybe even some goals. Dani Alves is such a great free kick taker, he's the one who scored the last minute free kick that put Brasil through to the finals in the 2009 Confederations Cup .That's why he's my favourite Brasilian player.
