A development for middle schoolers of a more challenging rate/ratio/proportion problem involving THREE quantities. The emphasis is on encouraging an intuitive grasp of the relationships between two of the quantities when the third is "controlled" or held constant. Appropriate for middle schoolers who have solved problems involving proportions.
