The emphasis is on encouraging an intuitive grasp of the relationships between two of the quantities when the third is "controlled" or held constant. Appropriate for middle schoolers who have solved problems involving proportions.
After you view this, try the classic puzzle problem:
If a hen and a half can lay an egg and a half in a day and a half, how many eggs can six hens lay in six days!
Answer: 24 eggs
