Excerpt from "Paul Carr: Requiem For An Angel" (Stone Records 5060192780048) featuring Sophie Bevan, Mark Stone, Chorus Angelorum and the Bath Philharmonia conducted by Gavin Carr. Paul Carr talks briefly about writing his Requiem.
I was amoungst the choir that first performed this (with the Athenaeum singers in Warminster). It is a wonderfully beautiful, dynamic and moving piece that I feel very privaliged to have been a part of.. more please Paul!!!
I was priveliged to see the rehearsals for a performance of this the weekend before Easter in Bath Abbey. A moving and memorable experience with my son, grandson and daughter. A lovely background to our visit to this beautiful and imposing edifice. Paul Carr this music is truly a wonderful work.
