Looking at the waves the wind was coming from behind and over his right shoulder. He was trying to point the boat towards the camera, while being moved off course. Pilot error.

This is a flying boat not a airplane,purely pilot mistake. aproaching to landing was very fast and aproaching angle was perpendicular.besides the wing must be opened trough to pushing the control bar.
