Fish Kill on Lake Curlew
Over the past 9 weeks Bony Bream have been dying on Lake Curlew, part of the Lake Cargelligo Wetland & Lake system.
Fisheries have left the investigation and ongoing monitoring of the kill to State Water. State Water have been unable to locate any of the dying fish this week, which are still dying after 9 weeks.
Fisheries have not taken any samples, but have stated that the kill is due to "cold". The report supplied by Fisheries on a previous kill of bream on another system does not match the conditions or symptoms of the fish on Lake Curlew.
