When choosing my every-day carry (EDC) equipment I have focused on fixed-blade knives that are easy to deploy, strong and easy to use. I am by no mean a knife expert or super-ninja-knife-warrior. I am a gal who did the best she could with the info she had.

  • That Ka-Bar TDI fixed blade is good gear. Small, concealable, and easy to deploy in a grapple. Like you, I had my eyes opened about the importance of a knife for gun retention, and the value of fixed blades, through FoF training.

If limited to folders for legal reasons, the Spyderco blade hole is fairly easy to open with your off hand's thumb. More of a gross motor skill than flicking a thumb stud.

Some Spydercos include the "wave" 1-hand opening notch that you like on the CS Ti-Lite.

  • @corpsemunger There were 720,000 aggravated assaults last year. (U.S. DOJ, 2010) I imagine few of those victims wanted to be in a violent struggle, and yet they were. You can learn to defend yourself, or you can let the meth freak bang your head against the concrete, if passivity is important to your self-image. Up to you.

But when you're ignorant on a subject, it's wise to read up about it, or take a class ... not get hormonal in random comments on the YouTube channels of informed people.

  • I think the CRKT dragon would be a good option for you if your looking for a new fighting knife CRKT is very high quality or a spyderco knife with the wave feature

  • Have you ever considered a push dagger?

In my mind they are the perfect knife for weapon retention. Mainly because you can still use your hand somewhat while still holding the knife.

  • my mom and dad play force on force at night sometimes. i think my dad wins all the time cause my mom always sounds like she dying.

  • Lady,wow...you are so adorable and charming!

  • Thats a wicked tanto blade, wish they would still make them. You should contact Mike Sastre of River City Sheaths. He makes some high quality kydex quick-draw sheath for almost any knife, especially Cold Steel knives.

  • @BabelOn4infinity Don't worry... If I lived in the US I would think the same thing. I actually posses more than 2 braincells

  • @corpsemunger I knew you were from the UK before I clicked your channel. :/

  • Nice video. Is your Ti Lite 4 inch or 6 inch?
