What is ACES?

If intelligence agencies could have accurately predicted the events of 9/11, how would world history have changed? Every day intelligence agencies rely on informed and experienced specialists to provide forecasts on world events, which in turn shape governments' actions.

Applied Research Associates (ARA) is sponsored by IARPA to find ways to make better predictions about world events and has formed a multi-disciplinary research team with top experts in judgment and decision making at seven universities. The team will test their methods on the ForecastingAce.com website. Participants will be able to identify topics of interest, engage with others, compete to make the best predictions and receive feedback on their contributions and predictive successes.
