Listening all the time to this song for hours and hours this was the first version making me cry!! Great!! :) Thank you!

O.K. 1964GJH... this is not a beauty pageant, I think your opinion sounds to "Americanized". K.D. Lang has a uniquely beautiful voice. It's a deep ache that comes from someplace deeper. Someplace not"Amercanized" but someplace much more important... her soul. I've seen her over the last twenty years sing... she's incredible despite how she might look is irrelevant. The people clapping seemed to not have noticed. Bravo K.D., please keep singing.

One word: Passion.
She digs deep. Her Hallelujas are wracked with pain yet somehow purified and clear - as in a moment after the pain has passed. Just perfect.

This is like God kissed her voice and gave it to KD to please the rest of us. Thank you so much. I love KD's version, far and above anyone else, and yes, I know already that she did not write it, hands down my favorite version! Peace Out ........ Canada
