Swing Dance Adult Nationals

Swing Dance in competition at U.S. Adult Nationals in 1997. These were held in Lake Placid. After this (initial) round, we were tied for 1st out of 16 couples. Our final placement was 3rd.

The music track faded out of the original video tape so I added a different track that I had timed for the Swing Dance (96 bpm). Ballroom dancers and musicians, you'll note that a Swing Dance for ice dancers is a moderately slow foxtrot.

Am competing in dance for the first time (I do both freestyle and dance) at a local event today. Just watched this and it's lovely! Makes me smile. I'm competing the Swing Dance and Fiesta Tango solo at an ISI event. This was great inspiration for me!!!!!
