  • Butt-eneded him in the chest. What's the difference between that and little taps from player to player during the play? They're just getting them off their game.

  • im not saying that what ribiero did was ok, it was definitly uncalled for, but to say that he started it and he's only at fault would be ridiculous, osgood started the whole thing thats what im saying and the video shows it, ribiero didnt get shit done towards him, a few pushes and shit, and oh no did they bad talk him in their interviews, that must hurt his feelings, they must have got him back in those interviews, the only reason this thing was blown out of porportion was because osgood dove

  • So I'm guessing I was just hallucinating Draper go at him from behind after the entire altercation happened? And the interviews afterwards? You don't have a clue do you?

Say what you want, but I'm through discussing this with someone who has such a vendetta against Osgood everyone against him must be a saint. I admitted Osgood shouldn't have dove but that doesn't make Ribiero's actions any less ridiculous.

    Later.

  • you are a dumbass and im going to say it one more time, he wasnt running anybody, ribiero has no record of running anyone cause he cant he isnt strong enough to lay anyone out, the butt end was the first thing that started anything, clearly it was, nothing else happened, and what are you talking about trouble with the league or the players, the detroit team knew osgood started it and that he dove so they didnt even bother getting ribiero back, didnt you notice he never got pay back against him

  • Are you really this dense? Read the fact that Ribiero was running another player. Osgood did the right thing by putting something in his way. He didn't jab or swing or anything. Osgood's dive didn't start anything. Ribiero's slash did. If he's got a problem, be a man and take it out on him next game by scoring. Slashing the goalie in the chest is going to get you in big trouble with the league and the players.

  • and this is how i know you dont play hockey, like you said the game was over and osgood buttends him in the face, anybody would react to it, yeah he over reacted but osgood dove and started it so hes just as much as fault

  • Understand what instigating a buttend and being an instigator is. It is all about the context. Osgood, like I said before, attempted to run interference. He didn't jab, or slash, or anything like that. He put his stick in his face. Big freaking deal. Ribiero shouldn't have gotten pissed and slashed Osgood and Osgood shouldn't have fallen to the ice. But getting mad over a stick by your face is freaking ridiculous.

  • dude instigating is the thing that starts an altercation between 2 players, had osgood not butt ended ribiero he would have never slashed him, osgood instigated the slash with the butt end, and dont say he didnt mean to do it, hes a fucking professional he knows where his stick is

  • Oh please the only time this will be talked about is on youtube on these videos. I guarantee you it won't be talked about on TV. Also, you seem to not understand the definition of instigation. To instigate in the NHL is normally used for when a player does something dirty in order to either injure or upset a team or player. Osgood did not intend to injure or upset the Stars.

  • your an idiot cant assume, he hit him in the face first, that was the first action, which instigated the slash, he may have not been thought as a diver then, but after these playoffs he is definitly considered a diver now
