Still, still, still

This is a very serene Christmas carol from Austria, around the year 1819. The arrangement is by Norman Luboff. Most of the translated lyrics I have seen stray off from the original meaning of the carol so I'll just include the verses here in German.

The German lyrics speak of how God left his throne in Heaven to come to us as an infant. The angels and the Virgin Mary sing a lullaby at the crib while the infant Jesus sleeps, and one day when we die we will ask this same infant to open the doors to Heaven for us

The best performance of this song I have ever heard. Despite the poor quality of the sound, the choral and instrument arrangement of the song are blended quite well. Very soft, serene and beautifully relaxing.
