70' Cutlass Supreme Rocket 350

My Olds Cutlass Supreme with the HC 310hp 350 Rocket with Pypes 2 1/2" exhaust and Violator mufflers. Battery died at end. Last year I replaced ball joints, front bushings, springs and shocks all around. Cleaned and painted front frame and engine compartment, core support, grill and tail lights. Recurved distributor for 32* @ 2700 rpm. Wanted to pull engine ,re-cam and paint engine this year but funds are very limited. Installed a Pioneer stereo, speakers, shift kit and tranny cooler so fare this year.

Actual Factory CR is more like 9.7:1 with no carbon in chamber

Hay that was mine last year. Hated to sell, what did MAtt sell it to you for may I ask. Those Pypes need a quieter muffler. Tranny has a B&M shift kit to help it last. keep using the Puroilator 30005 oil filter it gives extra capacity. Also use a good diesel oil like Rottella T that has a good amount of zinc additive, these older engines need it for the cam. If you would keep me posted with a video. I did the front end on it in 2008. I know my next one is gona cost much more than this one did.

Is this a stock 1970 350 engine with 4bbl? 10.25:1 compression? Just wondering what octane gas would need to be used?

I have a 72 Cutlass Supreme 350 4bbl and looking to perhaps do a 9.5:1 setup, or perhaps just like the 1970 350 4bbl.

I have essentially the same car. Mine's a lot rougher condition, but she's in the garage now getting ready for some metal work this winter. Nice looking ride.
