its not 30,000. its about 15,000.00 if you know where to shop, and you dont have to replace them in 20 years.. you just need to take care of them... can always make a call to state farm too :-)

that mechanical donosour 120/240 single phase 3 wire meter is tested for accuracy only in the fwd direction and may not be as accurate in the revs direction becouse it isnt tested that way

ITRON makes a digital meter used in residential application that gives the customer graphs of the pwr delivered by pwr co and by cogen and the net amt and with samples of that every 15 minutes on a data sheet. so watching the meter spin bkwds is cool to show your friends but the new meter is actually useful
