Sorry to hear that he died. I recenty lost an ancient Orange Winged Amazon so I know how it hurts when you've had a bird for years.BTW why are people calling these birds Red LORD, when they are Red LORED? The lore is the space between the eye and the beak.

My Red Lord Amazon died on monday morning in my hands. 25 + years old. It would do that to me as well. They are so personable.

More specifically he's a Salvin's Amazon (red lored subspecies). Very beautiful bird, does he become agressive to other people like the blue fronts and yellow heads do? I care for a mexican red headed 'zon and it's so cutie when they fall head over heels for you.

Yea, I recognize him as a salvin's, but its just shorter and a little less confusing to most people to say Red-Lored. :o)
He only hates one person. He tends to be protective of me in general and prefers me over most people. He feels most comfortable on my shoulder. But he does warm up to others. And likes certain people right away, especially bearded men.
