@sirCheeseMaster I was your age when this was popular; 73 now. Joined the union in 8th grade and played in my directors German Band and then the local city bands. Moved away at 16. Guy Lombardo, the Dorsey brothers and other big name bands played in our town of 1,900 at the Coliseum Ballroom which burned down this summer. Biggest dance floor outside Chicago and St. Louis.

You got it! Nothing beats the 30s and 40s for the lyrics and music at that time. When we were in 4th grade we played in the grade school band and the high school band. The high school had a 70 piece marching band and only 105 kids in the high school. Many were from the grade school next door. I then played with the school horn in several city bands but then moved away for my junior year. We had a great life as teenagers. Look up the Coliseum Ballroom in IL for more.

@lizpluscamera So good to hear!
I don't care what people say, I'm thirteen and I can't get away from this era of music. This is my pop music, Uber!
