The Statue of Liberty wonders how we became so weak. That is easy to answer. 130,000,000 eligible voters will not vote. Americans don't realize that freedom is not free. It has nothing to do with party affiliation. Liberal and Conservative no longer have a meaning. They are both corrupt. Why bother to vote? Our election process is corrupt. The liberals made this country great. Who has destroyed it? Read the book: The Greatest Generation. Americans did not hate one another then.

At first glance, I'm sure some would disagree, but you are right when you say "The liberals made this country great"---that's because, a long time ago--- "liberalism" actually used to stand for :Liberty". Milt Friedman described himself as a "liberal" in the true sense of the word.
