  • It seems universal the feeling this video expresses. We've all experienced this in some way, regardless of when we were in high school. That's the nature of the beast, I guess. I admire your work Paxson and I hope to see more videos like this in the future.

  • Thanks, I'm glad it had some deeper meaning to you. I've done a few animations since this one, and I have two more in the works, so stay tuned.

  • In junior high, nearly half the kids in school enjoyed my company but come around high school I was a square peg in a round hole. :(

Thanks for this video paxson, it touched me.

  • High school is a trip, but it ends, and people tend to get less shallow as they get a little older. There are a million "square holes" out there, don't worry.

  • Yes, I definately understand that feeling of the video... I'm a bit of a loner- I talk to people and have friends and stuff, but I also tend to find myself alone and in that position a lot. I've gotten used to it, and actually grown to like being alone sometimes. But at times when I really don't have any friends, it is hard to break that shell.

  • As long as you're not getting chucked through basketball hoops, you're doing better than this guy. But hang in there, high school is stressful for a lot of people, and there's no need to break a shell that's not broken.

  • congrats.

  • Damn.... I literally almost cried because of how that's exactly how I felt most of the time in S1 at high school... everyone was trying to get in fights with me, I kept daydreaming in class because I was basically waiting to go home, craft and design was all the same, the teacher just angry when someone does something wrong, and it seems like the teachers hated me, p.e. was always football which I hated, and only gave kids chances to kick the ball at me... part of my life all over again...

  • That was heksa funny.

  • This was pretty much me during my... first year in Junior High. Sat alone at lunch everyday, basically. I had/have friends but... they had a different lunch than me. And I didn't want to talk to anyone else at my lunch. They were... loud and annoying.

It's safe to say I was actually depressed that year. I think I'm still feeling that depression, but not quite as bad.

  • you make this in adobe?

  • I was never a popular kid, but I wasn't a loner either. I was always friendly to the Max's in my high school. I felt drawn to them because I also had a shell and took a while to warm up to others. A few of them were ostracised for coming across as overbearing or obnoxious or conceited or antisocial, but they were actually just like everyone else. Some of the nicest people I knew were loners. Everyone could end up being the odd one out. I probably would have if I went to a different school.

  • his name

  • I was like Max, however I chose to be that way.

I didn't want to hang out with all the other immature assholes that I came across.

I played sports and was involved, but everyone called me, "Not cool" haha but I don't care. I had better friends that went to different high schools that I could hang with. I went to HS for purely academic reasons.

  • Its a very good work, congratulations

  • :O

that perfectly depicted my first day freshman year.....
