Hi guys,

I know it's been ages since I last uploaded anything, hopefully I'll be able to make videos more frequently now.

This guitar is now sold by ViK as my signature model. Go to http://vikguitars.com/nolly_signature.html for more information.

I have just received this awesome custom guitar from ViK Guitars in Belarus. For details and a full picture diary of its creation, go here: http://vikguitars.com/en-us/forum/index.php?topic=60.0

This is a short clip I knocked up to demonstrate the monstrous heavy rhythm tone this guitar puts out.
Amplification is courtesy of my Fractal Audio Axe-FX Ultra.

The lead is (badly) mimed, sorry about that.

Many thanks to Pete Graves for filming the footage!

  • Awesome playing, awesome guitar, awesome tone! I have a question though. What kind of post processing are we talking here? The Axe-Fx is a magnificent piece of equipment, no doubt about it. But do you mean to tell me that what i hear is the guitar sound straight out of the Axe, double or quad tracked, into your interface? Because if it is, i'll seriously consider getting an Axe, just so i can get this kind of tone. Anyway, rock on, your band slays!

  • @furyfueled It's quad-tracked with no additional processing

  • How do you get that lead tone? Is that a pitch shifter or harmonizer or something?

  • @benjamminbb2011 Nah, I recorded two separate harmonising leads. In the video you're only seeing the main line.

  • Tuning Nolly? sounds so beautifully heavy!!!

  • @rickyvangooberblat It's in E standard

  • This tone is fucking beautiful. With those drums as well, this is pretty brutal. Love it.

  • SICKK TONE... can i get any of your axe fx patches from anywhere let me know THANKS

  • Nolly, this is an awesome tune! Your strings seem to be quiet flobby?! What gauge do you use for the B? It saw the same with Peteys Mayones 8 and Mishas Rico I played in Berlin. I really thought tight strings = tight tone. But seems to be wrong.

  • Hey nolly,Just one quiestion.

How do you write your drums?I mean are they throught guitar pro to Logic or what?

  • crispy

  • What pickups are you using???

  • how did you get this sound?

  • how do you get your tone

  • 4150 USD... isn't that just a little too much?

  • Dat tone.
