On-scene interview with state police at fatal Route 209 cras

WAWARSING -- A 19-year-old driver died this morning after crashing his car into an oil truck while fleeing a state trooper's car, according to state police. State police said the chase began when a trooper spotted a car driving south on Route 209 near the Ellenville police barracks that appeared to lack an inspection sticker. An unidentified trooper pulled out after the driver. When the trooper put his lights on, the driver took off at a high rate of speed, police said. The yellow Volkswagen GTI tried to pass someone and crashed head-on into a Heritage Oil Co. truck.

I'm sympathetic to the oil truck driver and the family and friends of the GTI driver. Although in my opinion, the GTI driver WAS a moron. If he hadn't sped away, this would not have happened. He must have been doing over 90 mph, just look at the damage. Very sad day!!

so lets see,,,cop decides to participate in a high speed chase because of no inspection sticker on the kids car,,,,no matter what anyone thinks,,this cop is half responsible for the entire fuck up,,he knows better and dont give a fuck about injuring or killing an innocent person,,,all he cares about is how dare you run from the almighty police. thats why some states have policy that says in cases involving victimless misdameanor violations,,call off the chase.. the c op killed the kid

If you watch the video AND listen you would learn that there really wasn't a real high speed pursuit by the officer. Its not the troopers fault at all.
