Here is a beautiful space shuttle launch seen from 180 miles south of the cape. You can see separation about half way through the video. I was watching the second half if the event in my binoculars, so you don't get to see more of the launch. You can hear that we missed the real separation with the binoculars. You will hear a lot of the wind on the beach.

  • Deerfield Beach is about 180 miles south of the launch.

  • The sound is not from the Shuttle. It's the wind on the camera mike. You can see the separation at about 35 seconds.
