Piping Baby Booties in Icing

Me, piping the fine detail on buttercream icing baby booties. I held the camera with one hand and piped with the other.

Thanks! I like to do more original things, but lots of people still order traditional cakes, so I end up doing those, too. In this part of the country, I have to be able to do both.

What #tip did you use to make the booties? They are too cute.

I think I used a number 5 or maybe a 7? You could use a larger tip if you wanted. I couldn't find the larger one (later found it...wouldn't you know?). For the 'laces' and ruffles I think I used a #3 tip.

Thanks! They were a little sloppier than I normally do, and I'd have rather made fondant booties, but the customer was really pleased.

I have no idea why on earth you'd be scared of this video. That doesn't even make sense. There is no talking because the camera I used had no audio device (I've since bought one that does, though). As for 'no detail', you obviously weren't watching as I was piping on the blue details with one hand while holding the camera with the other hand.

This cake looks so pretty.Both the booties and cake looks so cute together.The colors match PERFECTLY! The booties look realistic.
