In 1943 the Germans blew up this old water tower in Zantvoort, the Netherlands. This is in fact a demolition leading to toppling. If the building would be very weak and/or charges were placed on more levels it would be possible to get a crush-up, then a complete shockwave would rip through the tower and break it in parts. This is an example of energy transferred in the whole structure but insufficient to lead to a crush-"up"
