Moving version of "Jane Eyre" - possibly the finest. I saw this on network television on its first airing way back in '71 or so. Class act; York and Scott were remarkable...and Mr. William's score always remained a pleasant memory. Thank you toshi1178 for uploading this.

This is one of his compositions that doesn't receive a lot of credit, but he deserves it, it is beautiful.

I never knew John Williams made a Jane Eyre soundtrack. I should be ashamed of myself, because I consider myself a fan.

This is the extremely perfect edition of Jane·Eyre, with unreachable theme muisc which will never/ever occur in others.

I do not think the critics thought very much of this version of Jane but the music was absolutely wonderful. Romantic and highly dramatic, the several themes seemed to fit the various episodes of the story so well and bring out all the emotion. Once I think I read somewhere that this music was thought by John Williams to be some of his very best.
