@turtlehitman Don't use standard wire cutters. Use 8" bolt cutters. Depending on where you get them from, they'll run about $12-$15.

whoah!!
i would never use a glove for this.
i heard terrible stories of people having their hands squeezed.
you should better use a leather lobe...
but thank you for the video
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!! how can i cut my rings out faster?! i am currently using wire cutters, and it is so slow and boring! ARGH!

I use a hack saw to cut them because this makes a cleaner cut and more flush fit when the rings are done, but it is actualy slower than wire cutters. Wire cutters are about the fastest thing I have found to cut them.

@HullAL09 My dad came up with a faster way of cutting the rings. I put a link to his first video at the front of this one.

barbless wire? lol. what's wrong with smaller drills. most drills can take up to 1/2" and have more than enough power if i can do this by hand on a wooden rod.
one question what do you use to cut it, i find cable cutters to be the best. the ones with scissor action. or higher shelf sheet metal cutters.

The wire is between 12 and 13 gage mild steel. most people I've seen use 18 or 16 gage. Smaller drills can pull it but they heat up really bad.
