on September 11th 1927, Al made his first solo recording with full label credit. This was ''Say, Mister! Have You Met Rosie's Sister?'' for Hommochord, and was accompanied by his own uke and Edgar Adeler at the piano.
The photo shows an early cartoonist's impression of Al.
In the next part, I'll be sharing Al Bowlly's first British recording when he arrived in London.
Magnificent! Can't find this tune anywhere else on the world wide web - sooo great.
I like his ukulele-playing :) Long live my dear Al!

Thank you so much for sharing I am in love with those years, time, music and now that I have seen the face behind such a wonderful voice, with him as well.
