john mayer isnt really playing hendrix guitar. hes playing R&B style guitar, which is what hendrix did too. john mayer just uses the same techniques hendrix did.

If you're born without any music sources, you can have a complete personal music style. Some musicians try to not listen to much other music, only so they won't get influenzed. I don't care though, i don't mind having some influenzes.
