Lyrics & Information

Taken from the 'More Peel Sessions CD'. A great rendition of a song credited to Brian Downey.
This ones from around 1974. Some lyrics are different to the original. Enjoy!

Lyrics :-

Sitamoia, x 4
Gidda gadda aga
Sitamoia
Gidda gadda aga

Hey mister can I shine your shoes?
Hey mister can I sing the blues?
Hey mister you think it's gonna snow?
Hey mister my heart belongs to Glasgow

Hey mister I was a jiggalow
Hey mister I kissed Rudolph Valentino
Hey mister can I ask a question or two?
What are we to do?

Children abandoned and left to America
Children forsaken in Ethiopia

Sitamoia x 6

[Bass guitar/ Electric guitar interlude solo]

Sitamoia, x 4
Gidda gadda aga
Sitamoia
Gidda gadda aga

Repeat to fade with outro

  • where can you buy those ' more peel sessions' cd ????

  • Thanks so much for adding these. I love the early Thin Lizzy (early 70's) works and the first incarnation of the band ('74) with Gary Moore was incredible live...

  • thanks man. I'm hangin in there, you know yourself. How're you?
