Semi-finalist, 2007 Film Your Issue, raises the issue of a lack of awareness of the presence of nerve agents (weaponized chemicals) near a small community (Berea Kentucky) and the ongoing struggle to safely dispose of it (although by International Treaty it should have been disposed of by April 29th, 2007).

BAS Production is Bryan "Chico" Nichols, Adam Griffith & Sarah Hope.

"We were surprised to learn about the Chemical Depot and what was stored there. We wanted to find out how many people knew about it so we conducted interviews on campus. We educated some students and they educated us. Gulf War Vets have issues because of low level exposure to chemical weapons, the worker s at the depot, according to a whistle blower from the depot, are getting the same type of exposure and could suffer the same fate. The longer it takes to safety dispose of the chemical weapons the more risk everyone has of being exposed (workers and those that live in Central Kentucky). We seem to be immune to major issues that are lurking under our feet. They say, if a frog is place in warm water and the water is brought to a boil then the frog will stay there until it cooks. Are we the frogs in the pot???"
