  • have you actually checked out the power of .22mag, the .22lr is like 100pounds per square foot, where the .22mag is 320pounds per square foot. a fair bit more powerful. you have got velocity mixed up with power

  • @leprecorntimmyg I was going by velocity as I did not have the power info

  • roxio crashes your system

  • @ShawnCFarm gotcha, well, thats just my thoughts, i would go bigger than a 22mag, its a fun gun to have, but looking at the big picture, you already have a shotgun so you can kill anything with it that you can kill with a 22mag, i would look into something with some better range, knockdown power, and versatility, saying that i would stay with a common round, like a 243 or 270 thats all i can think of that going to be under .275, if your only going to kill coyote than a 223 is fine

  • @fastgmc No AR 15s are restricked meaning I can only goto the rang with it and no hunting at all. Mags must be pinned to 5 rounds in a semie auto, but an old bolt Lee enfield you can still put all ten on it.

  • @fastgmc price difference between a 243 and 270 round isnt going to be that much though, so i dont know, 270 is going to have more recoil, I think you would be able to find a 243 or 270 bolt gun cheaper than a 223 bolt, Do they let you guys have ar-15's up there? only thing there is the price and your still dealing with a 223...a sks would be the way to go but its 7.62x39 also...my only this is versatility , you cant do that much with a 22mag, for that same money you could get a 243 ect

  • @ShawnCFarm ah i see, yeah well both of the rounds i was recommending are 30 cal based, the only thing is i would look into gettting something that could serve as a multifunction deal, here to hunt deer you have to use a centerfire round, and i wouldnt shoot a deer with a 223, but that would kill a deer and a coyote, but i would get something that could do both really well, i have a 243 also its a nice round, actually i got it for my wife its a marlin sy7 bolt action, nice gun and its cheap

  • @fastgmc The problem here is that you can only shoot with 275 cal highest for hunting cyotes. So was looking into something harder hitting then the 22lr for them. You can buy some 223 rounds really cheap here but I think there fmj at Canadain tire store

  • @ShawnCFarm well, your getting kinda expensive in those rounds especially 270, and theres alot of recoil with a 270, i would recommend a military round like a 308 or a 7.62x39. you can buy both of these rounds really cheap, cheaper than 22 mag also..rugers mini 30 shoots the 7.62x39 also the aks, how ever the 308 is super accurate and powerful 1000 meter round, thats the most common round shot by US snipers, and since your looking at a bolt action rifle i would have to say get the 308

  • @fastgmc So I should just go with something bigger like a 223 or 270
