I wonder how many of that 28% bought pillow top (plush soft) matresses as opposed to the firm regular tops? I just bought a Simmons Beautyrest after doing much research and found the firm model to be a good choice as I could always purchase a topper later on down the road which would be much cheaper then dealing with a sagging built in pillow top.. Correct me if i'm wrong, but this opinion is what I got from shopping around and may not be correct. Thanks for the video! 2 thumbs up!

hello people my name is jose i'm 26 years old end i'm happy to say that i owned a simmons beautyrest black mattress this mattress has change my life i have kidney failure for 5 years now end i have really bad back pain since i purchase my new mattress i can get a good night sleep end not worry about back pain yes the mattress was quite expensive but a good investments i'm not here to promote simmons mattress it was just the right choice for me

Better methodology needed.

It's not possible to offer statistically accurate bed brand ratings if you haven't factored in the original selling price of the beds.

All the major innersprings brands manufacture beds in a wide range of prices. A $299 Brand X innerspring compared to a $1,000 Brand Y innerspring? That's an unfair comparison

Which do you think has higher quality components, will resist body impressions, last longer and hence receive a higher customer satisfaction rating?

This is not a valid statistical study. His sample isn't taken from random Simmons owners, but people who choose to participate in online forums. Firstly, people tend to speak-up more when they have a problem with a product, rather than if they're happy with it. In any case, there is a flaw in statistics derived passively in this way. It would be much more accurate to get a list of mattress owners and approach them, but that takes a lot more effort. I don't doubt his sincerity, just his methods.

We have had three Beauty Rest Mattresses over the past 30 yrs. or so. The last we bought less than 2 yrs. ago. We were very pleased with the first two, and they lasted 9 -10 yrs or more. Within 15 months from purchasing the current model (a firm - not pillowtop or plush), the mattress is sagging badly. After 41 yrs. of marriage, I am no longer able to sleep with my husband due to extreme back pain and spasms from this horrible mattress. There should be a class action lawsuit !!

After reading your website it makes me wonder why there are still so many more innerspring mattresses on the market if just about every other mattress type has more advantages. Thanks for your hard work compiling the data.

We've had our Simmon's Beautyrest for 12 years and it's still good as new. Firm, pillowtop.

@j3t2414 This was the email from Simmons :"Thank you for your email to Simmons Canada.

From your email you mention that you have a four year old Simmons mattress which is giving you back pain. Have you contacted your retailer about doing an inspection to see if there is a defect in the mattress? Our mattresses are covered by a 10 year manufacturing warranty and if it is determined that there is a manufacturing defect, your mattress would be replaced under warranty.

@j3t2414 Sorry to hear that, but buy a new mattres before is too late. I contacted the store and they asked me to send many pics, nobody showed up to see it physically and they decided that my mattress looked ok and no warranty was available. Later I contacted Simmons directly offering my mattres as a gift to them to research and improve the quality and a very nice lady was interested at the beginning but she never got back to me again.

@Lipnickis. I have owned a Simmons Beautyrest mattress for a yr now. About the same time I started getting a terrible hip pain & couldn't sleep well. In Oct we went to CO & slept in a hotel. My hip pain went away, I slept great. Come back home to sleep on my Simmons and my hip pain is back, getting worse. I want to buy another mattress but we spent so much on this set. Have your tried contacting the company to see what they can do for you?
