It's just an attempt at pronouncing it. Hope it wasn't too bad!

  • vaya. Ya estas estudiando chino mandarin jeje. MIllos71 para mi que tu eres superdotado. Suerte con este idioma.

  • gracias! Superdotado no! Ya habría aprendido más idiomas si ese fuera el caso. Es puro interés y obsesión con los idiomas. :)

  • OOHH Thanks for the review! I will keel studying! :) I'm glad I was able to discern some of the tones.

  • Good attempt! I think you succeeded (more or less) in the tones. And to Crealosa, there are tons of dialects in Mandarin. All with different pronunciations. In Guoyu, I can say goodbye like Zai Zien. Even though we learned to say it like Zhai Zhien (Putonghua). It just depends on the regional area in which you're speaking.

  • but you pronounce the "z" in "zai" just like the "j" in "jian", which isn't really correct. The "z" in mandarin...well....it doesn't exist in english, german, or any romance language...it's "like" a z but stronger and with the tip of the tongue on the roof of the mouth with a release of air...blah...I'm horrible at describing it. anyway...that was an AWESOME first attempt!! seriously consider studying more!!!

  • totally understandable! (at least for someone who's just finished his 3rd college semester of daily mandarin classes). Your first and fourth tones were really dramatic (and that's totally fine...lol...most people have no ear for the tones anyway) and really understandable! "hao" and "wo" were understandable but not really 3rd tones, more like weak 4th tones-ish. Zai jian tones were great (nice falling 4th tone, dramatic but still really good!)....
