I feel bad for the would-be "husband." This is an experience that most men can understand. Being friendly and nice is generally not enough to avoid getting hissed at.

My experience is that a female in heat will mate with any male. Rara must be highly sensitive. The male cat seems very sweet. That Rara, boy, she's not letting him near her.

I think that probably it become friendly if they are stay together for around 1 week.
