  • Looks fairly nice. Who's the maker? Also, custom or production?

  • @RelativelyBest

I ´ve ordered it as custom 12 years ago - since that it´s production. Look at lonetalschmiede.de

  • @mojothemigo Unfortunately so. i've dealt with some people on here who spew and cuss till they must be blue in the face. They seem to outnumber the good people, but only because they are the loudest and most obnoxious. It's refreshing to talk to someone who is interested in exchanging ideas, instead of hurling insults. I know you reminded me of a fact on this subject, and hopefully you learned something from me as well. That's why sites like this were made. Too bad some people want to spoil it.

  • @TheFoundersWereRight Ah, now I see what you mean. Isn't it nice when people can be civil over the internet? It is so rare isn't it?

  • @mojothemigo The Actual classification of a Falchion is a single edged sword, generally being blade heavy to give added cutting power. There was never any limit on the length of the grip or how many hands it could take. You are correct though, in that there were some very ornate and emacculate versions for people of higher social status even though the actual design was for a lower cost weapon. Again though, the definition i provided above is accurate.

  • @TheFoundersWereRight Falchions were one handed weapons used by Knights and some of the lower class. It originaly started out as a peasent's weapon, but developed in to a propper weapon. Knights used steel falchions and were expensive. This is propperly described as a Kriegmesser in the description. I've seen a bits and pieces of possabley conflicting info on this subject from Wikipedia, thearma.org, and Albion swords.

  • Fact: messers make everything better. :)

  • @mtchys

Agility is a manifestation of Strength, Flexibility, and Reflexes.

More muscle can result in greater agility, if the only obstacle is weight bearing.

  • @LoneIndividual usually this style give a little more power due to the extra weight, but its not as agile

  • European katana of some sort. : D
