bliptronic 5000 triggers vl-tone ( instructions for how to
make a trigger input i found here: http://tinyurl.com/vl-tone )

the link-out of the bliptronic is split by jack to double output adapter: 1 for the vl-tone trigger-in and the other for bliptronic link-in (this is to make the bliptronic start over). the bliptronic sends a trigger at the end of the pattern.

  • Are you saying you managed to actually remove the VL-1s silent step at the end of its sequence? if so, how?

  • no (that would be cool). the silent step replaces the last note of the sequence so it loops correct...

  • Did you use the programming features of the VL-1 to change the notes it plays and the bars where it doesn't play a sound?

  • record/program the notes in the vl-1 and when the bliptronic sends a trigger (1 trigger at the beginning of the bliptronic sequence) the vl-1 steps 1 step through the sequence you programmed; no trigger = nothing/rest :) (when you program the vl-1 and you loop the sequence you have to delete the last step of your sequence; at the end of a seqence there's allways "nothing/rest" step...)

  • The leprechaun wants his studio back

  • impara a suonare la tastiera no?

  • Nice little hack. I must do that.

I've put a video up on my channel of the Bliptronic and the VL-tone playing a Faith No More song, but i synched them when i recorded the song on the music editing software i use. Perhaps this hack will allow me to do it live?

    thanks.

  • there's no adapter input but the batteries i use(d) last(ed) a long time (maybe it's easy to install an adapter input) i don't know about maplin (i'm from europe)

  • @listentomerijn I assume it can work with an adaptor. I'll ask in Maplin. They might sell them, they have all kinds of gadgets. Do you have Maplin in the States?
