  • @FMF5517 He was a good king (he said that He is a servant of the people and not the other way around), a poet and philosopher. So there are just fewer people that can match his gifted combination. He was truly the first clerisied absolute king in Europe.

  • @SovereignChancellor he is very unique...a great military commander yet a gifted musician. That is very rare. Who else beside a few could match such combination?

  • Excellent. I think you are right about Presidents and the Arts. Arts should be supported everywhere.

  • A phenomenal and unique and spectacular genius man! (King/Composer/Leader/Philosopher ect) Not only this but also Frederick spoke French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian! he also understood Latin, ancient and modern Greek, and Hebrew. We have here a pure magnificent human!

  • I like it. Even though he may not be what one would call a "great" composer (such as the Bachs, Mozarts and Beethovens of the musical world), his style is neat and the music is not disorganized and messy like some other lesser known composers of the Classical era. Everything seems to fit pleasantly well together.

  • Pleasing music. Here is an example of a monarch who not only supported the arts but also composed fine music. How many American presidents throughout history were interested in doing that?
