Ford 2010 Fusion 1K Challenge Carl Edwards drives past 1000 miles

Carl Edwards drives 2010 Ford Fusion past the 1000 mile mark on a single tank of gas.
The Ford Fusion Hybrid team successfully attempted to drive more than 1,000 miles for more than 43 continuous hours on a single tank of gas, raising money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in the process. Friday, April 24, 2009 the team checked out the car. The members hit the road Saturday morning at 8 a.m.

I hate most fords but that is the best hybrid on the market. I wanna see that car in a 1.6 tdi hybrid configuration. Then it would probably get 100 mile to gallon regularly. Come on ford, use on of your european models and make a diesel-hybrid.
