We live 2 miles from the accident site and we passed the accident shortly after it happened on our way home (rescue workers had apparently just arrived). May Bethany and the girls rest in peace. 5 Innocent lives lost because another person chose to drink and drive and he walked away with a sore jaw. DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!!!!!!!

Dear Bethany, when I am upset with my family, like today, I come to you and you bless me.....I miss how smart you are:( Bethany was the smartest loopie, I think. She was really a strong a debater, over-the-top-of-the-top mommy, and an amazing person....and Republican!

And this story is absolutely tragic. I don't live anywhere near where this happened but I still read about it. It's just horrible. :( I really feel for the surviving family members (I think it was the husband and two of the kids) and I can't imagine the horrible pain they must have gone through, and are probably still going through. RIP Bethany, Jordan, Haley, Lacey, and Vadie. :( You are greatly missed.

WHEN will people learn?? This guy killed almost an entire family, a guy in my hometown recently killed two teenagers while driving drunk, and I just read a news story about a drunk in Canada killing three teens. How can people be so selfish? And being an alcoholic is not an excuse, whether or not you have an addiction you still have the choice to NOT get behind the wheel of a car.

His name is Jack and he is living with Beau and Bret in Maryland. Her husband at the time is Danny and he is living in Michigan and has a new girlfriend.

I'm from NJ and dont know them. The picture of the baby with the hat just breaks me down. Many drive while "buzzed" and think they're ok. I showed my bf that video last year, and we remind eachother about this family when its time to drive. I have shown the video of the accident and the tragedy and the news reports to many friends.I posted those horrible videos to myspace this new years eve. Others will learn and this will save lives. Prayers for all, both the driver and the victims' families.
