KFVS-12's (Cape Girardeau, MO) analog goes dark permanently....

KFVS Channel 12, located in Cape Girardeau, MO, turns it's analog transmitter off permanently, June 12, 2009, at 12:01AM. I am sort of surprised they just shut it off with no station ID or announcement or anything. Most stations that I am aware of have run an ID, an announcement, or an old sign-off video or something.

Remember those final words uttered on KFVS' analog signal from Craig Ferguson: "And I used to drink alcohol!"

They should have ran all the old analog station id's they've run over the past 50 + years.  That would have been fitting.

It's really not that suprising that they just shut it off. That is what I always do when Craig Ferguson comes on too.
