Hello, the reason they named there band Tokio Hotel is because "Tokio" because they love big cities since Tokio is a big city and "Hotel" because that became their new home.
Anyways it doesn't matter if they are German or not. It's their name they chose it because it sounded good. It's none of your concern about why. They liked it and that's it.
