holy cow.. u tend to forget how long those buggers were.. My old man had a xa wagon as a company car back in the day.. he referred to it as "a bloody wet bar of soap on the road"... I would own one in a second today though... with a 351 of course!!

No it wasnt based on the 69 American Falcon!!!!!!!!! XA,XB,XC was Australian creation!!!!!! Addmitedly there is later Mustang and Torino flavorings and the same front end concept as early American falcons......But uniquely ours!!.....Dont believe me drive one!!!!!! We had our own Cleveland plant near Geelong. A far Superior 351.....Dont believe me?....Why did Demotoso drop the american clevo in favour of ours?????

I remember seeing this ad at the Ford discovery centre 10 years ago. What a great ad, and a great era for Aussie advertising tongue in cheek, and a great era for Ford cars
