@Caterinamh You can not separate this from religion. It is religion that has relegated woman to the role of second class citizens. It is a secular society that allows woman and everyone else equal protection under the law. Religion not just Muslin, but Judaism and Christianity all make woman the weaker sex. Look at the muslims! They do! Quran says woman is worth half of that of a men, and muslims do act this way!

there are passages in the old testament of the bible that say things like: "and he shall take his sword and smite down his enemy and all his kin." but Christians dont do that. why because not everything is meant to be taken literally. in the Koran there are passages talking about the killing of infidels but they are not saying you should kill them, they are being misinterpreted. in the bible god destroys sodom and gamorah (sorry i spelled the name wrong. he kills everyone in the cities.
