A 60s-esque parody ad for Maytag Washers. The washer is an A700S built around 1962, if you wanted to know.
Made as part of a class project in April 2007.

  • where did you get the fels naptha soap ?

  • @sincladutch The one we used wasn't an antique - they still make it. To be honest, I don't know where it was purchased - we just had it around the house. I think that you can get it in the laundry area of a grocery or maybe a hardware store. It's not super common, though.

  • I LOVE the sound the soap makes when it hits :) It's my favorite part.

And the stereotyping is fantastic. It's done in a way that is very obvious and hilarious, yet not offensive. A perfect parody.

  • The soap is my favorite part too!

  • I want that A-700!!!!!!!

  • No kidding - still running after 47 years!

  • hehe, nicelly done, very realistic.

    5/5

  • It also has a light above the timer and in the tub :)

  • yeah, but I just love the sound that soap makes when it hits the washer

  • Cute video, hope you got an "A" on your project. BUT, you wasn't suppose to throw the whole bar of soap into the washer! LOL I'm afraid you'd end up with a partial bar of soap left, lots of suds and some irritating clothes!

  • Love that light on the washer
