Hey Richard,
Just got my triple searchlight signal. Wow the color are bright and true to color. I also got the triple "G" type and it super! Now all I have to do is decide which style I'm going to use! I just may have to have some of each. Great job very pleased.

So the flashing yellow aspect would have to be manually controlled, or do you have some with a flashing yellow. Very Cool, I love the searchlights.

I have produced a flashing yellow aspect signal 2 different ways:
*Installing a flashing LED in series with the wiring circuit when the solid yellow aspect is supposed to flash. When the flashing LED is illuminated, it saps the power to the yellow signal light, causing it to appear to flash.
*Installing a Green Steam Products highway flasher unit in series with the yellow signal light. You get full on/off flash effect, and flash rate is adjustable.

I have made lunar signals in the past. I suppose I could make signals using blue or purple, also!

I've seen different signal styles apply to one railroad. There's really not one style for one railroad. Generally, the 'searchlight' signals are seen mostly in the West, and the 'G' type in the South and East. If you have a specific railroad in mind, perhaps I can research for you to learn what signal types that particular railroad used.
