not 100 percent true there are many trees that are medium wood like pine that make lumber cheap, and maple is not all that hard of a wood not like hickery, or ironwood, well a powerplant is better then just leaving it to rot or not using it at all but for mulch, at least if its a biomass powerplant its used for something.
Just saying would rather see it sent to the lumber yard or used as plywood then burned or wasted.
@manga12 Not all trees are good for firewood. only hardwood trees are good for burning, trees like oak or maple. And given that these trees are being chipped into a truck, it's quite likely they are going to a power plant.
for large trees would it not be better to use them for lumber then just cutting them to bits to grind up perfectly good trees yanked live from the ground sounds like a real waste of the wood to me, do they even reuse the chips, or do they just cart it off and burn it or put it in a landfill I suppose, or do they use to make paper or something?
