My work wanted me to look at Cyberdefender antivirus software EDC 3.0 to see how it would be as a standard package for our company laptops.
They like the package because they can also get the Cyberdefender 24/7 computer help service, which for a small company like ours without an IT department has a real value.
This video is my installing and running it on a fresh laptop, to make sure that there were no false positive and that it was a compatible software package.
The end result is that it did NOT find any problems on a fresh computer, as it should be.
In researching Cyberdefender, I found some comments saying that it was rogue or fake or that it put false positive on the computer to trick people into buying it. Clearly this video and my experience with it, shows that these are wrong.
Cyberdefender EDC 3.0 is good antivirus software, that is easy to use, good for non-technical users and the 24/7 computer help service is a real benefit for a small company like our, and a small family.
I used to work there. The techs know what they are doing, it's the damn sales people that are the liars. They downright lie to make the sale. They must have been ex car sales people. If you don't have a friend/family member that knows computers, cyberdefender service is fine. If you know even a little about computers you are better off using Security Essentials. I personally don't run any full time antivirus software, and even when people run AV software they still get infected.
