Does ubuntu supports the Intel Quad core Q9550? Does it take advantage of all four cores or is it singlethreading?

@suli8 What about it?

So, I started the download, and it's a zipped file, so I am going to unzip it with winrar, where do I unzip it to? Does it matter? And how do I find the .iso file in it, just look for it I suppose lol. So after I unzip it, find the .iso, and burn it to a blank cd/dvd? Am I right?

Thank you. I was tearing my hair out wondering what I was doing wrong. When I got to part asking for a "Mount Point" I ignored it. The only things I mount in life are nubile young women. One lousy little forward slash could cause so much heartache.

Go to : Computer , System properties (at the top of the window) scroll down to system type : then it will say 32 bit or 64 bit ( mine's 64 )
I have an Athlon 64 X2, should I pick "64bit AMD and intel computers" am I right? (at 1:53)

yes, the 64bit would be better, the 32 will still work but the 64 will take better advantage of the two cores

Hey! I'm gonna move from this shitty Vista to Ubuntu, will there be an option for formatting the drive in the installer or do I need to do that before?

ubuntu will allow you to format the drive when you install, however, just realize that that will erase everything (including ur files) on the drive so make sure you have them somewhere else before you format it (flash drive, backup drive, another place pretty much)
