The real significant number I heard hear is 6% decline in reserves that is alarming. We consume 3 times more than the extra we find. This will describe the size of the coming crash. We will bounce back and crash to follow the long term trend of 2-3% decline.
Richard Heinberg also connects to permaculture. This is the only positive hope I can see along with understanding that reduction is unavoidable and this is not a conspiracy.

@redhat123456789 I recommend some philosophy (mostly epistemology), economics, and praxeology courses.

@redhat123456789 I can post this because I understand economics and the nature of wealth creation. It is clear that you do not.

@redhat123456789 I'm talking about economic growth not physical growth of anything in particular. Economic growth can continue on forever since it is fueled by human exchange and ingenuity. This is economics not mathematics. The mathematics is necessarily true but it's what it means for an economy that matters. Understanding what economic growth is by understanding what an economy is reveals that to you. Mathematics is useless without the context and understanding of what it's being applied.

@redhat123456789 Correction. Significant economic growth cannot take place without energy. Oil is one cheap abundant source. We have access to other energy sources which are not as cheap but still affordable. There was economic growth before the use of oil so I have no idea where you get that idea. Economic growth is fueled by people. Cheap energy enables faster growth. It is a catalyst not a necessity. I'm not in denial. I understand economics.

@redhat123456789 Individuals will have it tougher and economic growth will slow down but economic growth is driven by human beings not oil. Economic growth will continue and civilization will continue to make progress. People make out as if everything will halt to a screeching stop and there will be chaos, economic stagnation and instability to the point where we will revert back to the dark ages or something.

@redhat123456789 Cheap oil and therefore cheap energy has been a wonderful luxury and soon it will be gone but civilization will continue to thrive. That is my point.

its all a scam. first of all, the "elite" is not depended on oil. they use the false flag oil shortage in their favor to sell for a higher price.. the truth is oil is everywhere. the people who control oil extraction just want to leech the general population. trust me, look into it.
Wow, peak oil denialists, global climate change denialists are seemingly everywhere. I hope you guys are enjoying yourselves (at least for the time being LOL). Our species is on a high speed collision course with a massive WALL of reality. Good luck to each and every one of you.
