I know that this is old, but how do you sharpen your axes?
-
@resadrianlk as he said in the video
Hardware stores.

hahaha hardware rocks!

Scandinavian grind knives are so easy to sharpen, you just lay down on the edge bevel and move it around. A convex knife, not so easy. You have to hold it just right and its easy to get off angle.

I love your common sense approach to sharpening a knife. I was watching a youtube clip by a man named Murray Carter (wesatcartercutlery), and he said that a lot of people like to think that you can buy rocks that will give you a sharp knife, but that in reality, in doesn't really matter what you use to sharpen your knife, it only matters how much you practice and how good your skill is. He even sharpened a knife with just a cinder block and a cardboard strop to demonstrate what you can do.

Have you ever thought about teaching bushcraft courses?

Very nice Fredde! I love the simple aproach, NO need for complicated stones and devices.....it's the way I learned from Murray Carter from Carter Cutlery (.com). He has two awesome and very learnable instuctional DVDs about knife sharpening.
